Window World has no respect for the consumer

We hired Window World to install 4 windows for us. The old ones leaked so we asked the to send an installer with the sales guy to access the damage before they went to work. The refused, the sales guy said our kitchen window would be fine that we wouldn't lose any tile. Long story short, they showed up with the wrong windows, then after thy got the right ones, we lost the tile around our kitchen window. They left sharp jagged grout, and used 3/4 inch baseboard trim around the window! Looks like my 6 year old did it. They said they would fix it but, this is the 3 day I have taken off work to get this window fiasco done and they never showed. When I called they wanted to reschedule again!!! Lesson learned...put down a deposit and only pay the balance when the work is done correctly! Once Window World had our money, they didn't care what happened with the job!

Dealer for Window World Windows

Windows are great - but dealer has a problem. l yr. ago he came to check 3 windows for leakage between the to windows panes. Supposely ordered replacement. Mid Sept.2007 1 window came in,needed to check #'s to see which ones didn't come. No word or window delivered. Mar.2008 called he still had 1 window but need to check on other 2. Called in May 2008 - I gave him the 3 windows numbers to be sure he had them right. As still only 1 window. l yr. to the day called no only 1 window would check with Window World and call me back same day. No call. Report him to better Bureau - Well he called last week and said shippment coming on Friday and he'd call and let me know one way or another - No call No windows. He has until Aug. 27 with Better Bureau. Wonder what he'll tell them. Wonder when I'll get my replacement lifetime warranty windows.

I'm a new customer of window world.Windows were installed end of July. Windows were out of level more than an inch.

The outside of the house was left uncovered and raining in side the house. My dad and i covered it in the rain to stop it. At this time we noticed lumber missing and tools and other things from the house. complained about it they fired the installer so they said.

Anyway, they sent another crew they took the windows out reinstall them, they look better but not happy. Four of the six windows have cracked frames,They aren't even garage quality in "my eyes". Not happy but already stayed home to get fix from my vacation. Went on vacation.

End of August now cracked windows aren't fixed and no siding has been reinstalled. September call the head office some one will be out next week to install siding and fix broken windows. They won't refund money and remove window I don't like > I guess in a year I will remove the windows and replace with some to my liking. Anyone want some cheap windows. Don't pay them until they are finished unlike me I payed them up front because I thought they were a trusted company and took care of their customers.

They don't refund no matter how unhappy you are with their product. So i guess if they fix it I will deal with it for a year. I DON'T LIKE THEIR WINDOWS. This is my opinion and doesn't seem to matter to window world.

Not a happy customer!!! I have eleven more windows to replace but someone else will get that job and probally the job to replace these as well!

All you pissed out Window World coustomers. Call 336 667 **** and give the corporate office the serial number off your window(s) and your phone number, address, location of store you purchased from and if you have a legitimate complaint they will follow up to get the issue fixed.

ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THE WINDOW WORLD INC IN THIS AREA? POSITIVES OR NEGATIVES.

WE HAVE NO BBB HERE SO ONE MUST TALK TO OTHER RECENT CLIENTS. I APPRECIATE ANY REPLIES. OTHERWISE I CAN GET NAMES OF RECENT JOBS AND CALL THE INDIVIDUALS TO SEE WHAT THEY REPORT.

SAD TO SEE BOGUS REMARKS BUT GLAD SOMEONE NOTED THE POSSIBILITY SO I AM GOING TO CHECK FOR REFERENCES AND NOT GIVE UP ON THE COMPANY BECAUSE OF REPORTS HERE BEING SO NEGATIVE. THANKS.

How do you know it is a bogus comment?

Window World faulty installation

Hired Window World to replace all the windows in our home. Window install completed, following week endured tropical storm Fay ane the windows all leaked under the sills. Apparently the installers missed a key step in the installation process, not just on one window but on all 8 windows. All the carpeting in our home was soaked. Window World initially claimed it must be our problem, couldn't be their windows. Then the Supervisor came out and pulled out one of the windows, with my husband present. It was their problem and there was no denying it when the window was removed. They came back and pulled out every window and reinstalled them "correctly" with the proper caulking. They didn't offer to make any restitution with the water damage in the house. We have withheld final payment. I have no confidence in these windows and now find myself crawling around on my hands and knees checking for wet carpets whenever it rains.

We Used Window World of Chantilly. Biggest mistake ever!

They installed eight windows...they all leak...a lot! They caused thousands of dollars in property damage. This has been going on for three months now. We had to remove all the drywall and insulation from floor to ceiling around the windows.

There was so much mold, I couldnt believe my eyes! The laboratory mold results are off the charts. We have been back and forth them for 3 months. They are very defensive and difficult to deal with.

I am turning this over to my lawyer. With all the negative complaints out there, I would think there would be a class action suit against them.

Ordered all picture windows & want to reschedule.

A while back, Window World called and scheduled our appointment for installation for today (Mon, 9/8/08). So, yesterday we removed all blinds & curtains, including any brackets. Two refrigerators were moved as well as most of the furniture. Today, Window World Indianapolis called to reschedule the installation. The girl said that when they went to load the windows, they were all picture windows. Duh! Don't they check the order when it comes in before they call to schedule the installation? We are retired. Now we have to put at least some of the curtains & brackets back up. Idiots!

rain is a lil different then what these folks had to deal with. first off,,,yes,,,they do get a P.O.

when the truck brings the windows. so,,,they should have known WAY before the job was to be done that they didnt have the correct windows. so these folks shouldnt even of had to take things down or move anything.

just typical window world relations with their customers. seems it happens everyware,,not just in the cincinnati/northern KY area.

This happens, live with it. it had to reschedule due to rain. Yes I took everything down too.

No Respect For Our Home

We hired Window World of St. Louis to remove and install 13 windows. First they showed up 4 hours late, then rushed to get the job done while it rained outside. They kicked out the old windows, not putting drop cloths down inside. In our spare bedroom, they did put a drop cloth down, but managed to severly scrape our newly-finished hardwood floor. There is still caulk on our kitchen cabinets, and the stickers still remain on our windows. They did not clean at all.

The worst part, though, is what they did to our siding. We were debating whether to get new siding, or not. We had told our salesman our thoughts, and apparently this was passed on to the sub-contracted installers. Well, when they left, with the "job done", our siding had huge holes because they were told that we would be getting new siding. I wasn't aware that they were allowed to destroy our property because they thought we were going to replace that property.

I took pictures, and called the company. First the guy I spoke to wanted to give me $200 dollars off of the price. If you have any clue as to how much re-finishing a hardwood floor costs, you, would know, that I wasn't going to accept that. They eventually gave me $1000 off, however, the hassle of it just wasn't worth it, in retrospect.

One other thing-I'm not sure where the installers come from, but, let me just say, that if my house were in a secluded area, I wouldn't have been here by myself when they installed the windows.

Window World is terrible. Contact the Attorney General's office online and report them!

Enough complaints and they will do something about it! If they start a class action suit, you could be getting your money back!

You can find the Attorney General for your state online, and complain online. It's worth it!

Don't waste your time with these people. I contracted for installation of windows and paid more than half up front.

When they came to install them they wanted $100 more a window for install. When I refused they left the windows and left. They won't take back the windows and give me a refund. They did finally offer to install them at the 1st agreed upon price but after seeing the product and their install crew I don't feel good about either.

SO STAY AWAY AND REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Unless you deal with Window World then you don't even get that.
