Window World in Wyandanch, New York - Cheap prices for a cheap window!!!!

I was lied to!! The salesman in the Hudson valley New York area told me that the so does they sell are just as good as the "high priced" windows. Well the are not! Leaks air, does not open and close smoothly and look like a plastic kids toy window. The installers were very messy and unprofessional also. The installer actually whipped silicone on my wall when cleaning his hands. They also left the room a mess. I bought 5 windows for 1800 and thought I got a great deal. But the truth is you get what you pay for. At first everything seemed if e until the day came to install. The windows never closed right! I tried several times to get fixed and each time someone comes and finds a new problem. The sub contract the install people so each time it's someone else!

Window World in Middletown, New York - Windows

I was told the cost of the window did not reflect the quality of the window by the slick salesman. Don't believe them! I wasted $4,500 on the cheap windows when I should of paid a little more for quality. They say lifetime but do not mean it. I have problems from the day I signed the contract. Horrible Installation too! Hudson valley and the New Jersey store are owned by same person. It's a franchise ran by unprofessionals. I was lied to by the salesman and charged additional fees after they told me what I signed up for that would be it. I had to pay a fee of 375 if I wanted the rotten wood fixed. These windows are leaking cold air and are starting to be very hard to open. I wish I would of read all the co plants on this site about them!!!

I hope now you understand why it is very important to research a lot before buying windows. Words of a salesman are just advertising to promote their product.

The words you should believe are other consumers of the brand who have direct experience of using the product.

Low quality windows will be damaged easily and will be severely energy inefficient.

In such cases the loss of money won’t be just on the cost of windows, but on future energy bills as well. In future buy a replacement window, www.windowchoice.ca/window-tips/how-to-know-when-its-time-to-replace-your-windows only after getting proper reviews from customers who actually used them and confirming quality of the windows.

Window World in Jacksonville is so unprofessional. The installation looked like a 3 year old did it. The management's credibility has a lot to be desired. They are rude and condescending. They charged me $440 extra for flange installation and did not get it. When...

Window World - Front door disaster

I replaced my front door that leaked every time it rained with a brand new door from window world that leaks even worse. They came right out and caulked a day after the door was installed. The next rain, door leaked again enough water that it went into the basement soaking the wood and insulation. Called them again and they found that the side windows actually slid out of place and he felt the whole door would need to be replaced now it's been a month and several rains later yet nothing has been done. $5000. I would have expected a little more from them especially when it's obviously manufacturer defect. Would not recommend this company or their products.

Just received a quote for a patio door, front door and a window. Would not offer just replacing the units.

I received a quote to install all new construction window, doors. Meaning, they want to remove all good existing frames, cut into siding. My front door just needs a new door, not new framing etc... Same with patio door.

Tried to convince me that the transom above the patio door needs to be replaced with the patio door. It does not. He stated its attached to the patio door. I have not found any company selling patio doors with attached transom windows.

Front door estimate was $1000.00, single window was $800.00, patio door was $3000.00!!! They are padding their work all new new framing etc...

@noonehappy

It's April 28th, 2014 and they still haven't corrected my leaking door after several attempts. I am on my 3rd replacement yet the side windows keep sliding in the frame and it's one solid door, side windows, and transom. I regret my purchase and would be happier if I just plywood the front entry in and went thru the garage.

Had 9 windows replaced on 3 sides of the house last year. The precision size that WW promises means stock size windows with up to 5/8 inch caulking. And all screens have the same offset from square. Is it possible the frame they use at the factory is out of square? ...

This is a completely bogus statement, window world leaves you a printed price list and is the only company that shows you what the actual costs are! I have used them for several projects and never had better service or better products for the money! This looks like a competitor posted this trying to make them look dishonest!!

We had Window World install new windows throughout our home in early 2011, choosing them because of the guarantee, price, and advertised energy savings. BIG MISTAKE!! I wish we would have paid the extra $1,500-2,500 and went with another company because WW is a rip-off...
