I had four new windows installed two days ago and the first morning afterward all four had condensation on the outside. It was a humid morning and I even encountered some patches of fog on the way to work. My initial thought was that either these windows are even worse that the one's they replaced or they are better and all the other windows in the house are ***.

This morning no windows had condensation. Remember, this was on the outside. That tells me that those four windows weren't allowing the moisture to pass through around the edges/frame/insulation. While I think the curved lip that is used as a handle to raise and lower the window looks and feels cheap, I'd not pay hundreds of dollars more per window for something significantly more substantial.

As for the low E coting, there's a noticeable difference between the new windows and the original windows. That part is definitely working. While I want to immediately replace six more windows, I am going to wait and see how these four perform for a while before I proceed.

The installer was friendly enough and cleaned up the scraps from the old windows and the trim. I had Rolox windows installed in my last house and not only were they over twice the cost of W.W. this installer said they replace a lot of Rolox windows. Who really knows but vinyl windows shouldn't cost what they were charging. Live and learn.

As for all the complaints here, I'm sorry to hear about your experiences. All four windows were the correct size, the installer was right on time, and from the time the windows were ordered until they were installed was just under six weeks.

I had 13 windows and a sliding patio door installed a year ago. NO issues at all.

My furnace doesn't run as much as well as the AC. Love them!

As a very experienced window installer, I would advise you to do a little research about condensation on the outside of your windows. I bet it was either a ring of condensation around the edges of each sash or a round spot of condensation in the center of the exterior of each sash.

The fist means there is air going past the entire sash and the second means there is air passing past the interior pane of glass to the exterior pane of glass.
